Yesterday morning 29 March 2017, a delegation of 9 NGOs met the President of the Parliamentary Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration, Mr Zachariou and discussed the issue of the appointment of the new Ombudsperson. During the meeting, the President of Accept LGBT – Cyprus, Mr. Costas Gavrielides and the Executive Director of KISA, Doros Polycarpou, on behalf of the 9 organizations handed over a joint letter to Mr Zachariou in which we express our concerns about the intention of the president to nominee a specific person as the new Commissioner for Administration and Human rights.
