Cyprus Youth Council in collaboration with Peace Players Cyprus and the Youth Board of Cyprus is organising a basketball game named “Sports give peace a chance” on September 28, 2019, between 17:30 – 19:30 at Acropolis Park.

The game is taking place in the framework of the European Sports Week 2019 and its purpose is the promotion of coexistence and peace, between all young people of all communities of Cyprus.

We want to send the message that sports have the power to inspire and unite by talking to young people in a language they understand; to create hope where there was only despair and also that they can help tackle social exclusion by breaking down racial barriers and obstacles that create discrimination.
