Cyprus Youth Council has successfully accomplished its 12th Annual General Assembly, which took place on Saturday 22 of October at Semeli hotel in Nicosia. The General Assembly was welcomed by the President of CYC Mr. Loizos Vasiliou, by Dr. Kyriakos Hatzigiannis, Chairman of the Education Committee, by Mr. Pantelis Panteli Officer A’ of Secondary Education, by the volunteer commissioner Mr. Giannis Giannaki and the Chairman of the Board of the National Youth Board Mr. Panagiotis Sentonas. The General Assembly was also welcomed by the President of the European Youth Forum Ms. Johanna Nyman through video.
During the second part of the GA, the Activity Report, the International Activity Report and the Financial Report of CYC, were presented by the Secretariat. After the GA approved them, a presentationfor the Pool of Trainers of CYC was held by the trainer Ms. Electra Kypridimou.
During the last part of the GA, the candidate organizations presented their actions and plans and then the GA voted either for approval or rejection. After the voting the GA approved as associate members; ESN Nicosia, OXygono and Youth Alliance. After the voting the GA approved as full members: Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY and EYP Cyprus.
After the presentation that was held for the policy papers the GA voted for the policy papers of: Sports, Environment, Juvenile Delinquency, Sex-education, Youth and Culture, Tourism.
The General Assembly ended with the elections of FCC committee and of ABMA.
The elected for FCC committee are: Andreas Solonos, AndonisKourraand Yiannis Constantinou.
The elected for ABMA are Georgia Liasi, Antonis Aristodimouand Vakis Charalambous.
