SHORT BIO:

Miranda has studied Accounting&Finance at The University of Southampton and holds an MBA from the University of Cyprus. She is currently working as an Accounting and Economics tutor. Furthermore, Miranda is passionate about non-formal education (NFE) since she discovered and experienced its existence in 2013, when she actually felt like she discovered a new world! Since then, she has been very active in the fields of NFE and youth work. She is working as a freelance trainer and as aforementioned, she is experienced mostly with the topics of quality in youth work, human rights education, peace education and intercultural learning and acceptance. More specifically, Miranda has been a Board Member and active volunteer of YEU Cyprus (local youth NGO) since 2014 and through YEU has been involved in a vast variety of local and European actions, projects, meetings, festivals regarding youth. She is also active in YEU Cyprus’ umbrella organisation in Brussels (YEU International), mainly working with them as a trainer on various youth mobilities and was also a member of an experts’ team for developing a Quality Label in youth work and NFE. In 2019, Miranda also joined the trainers’ team of the IMAGINE bi-communal educational programme; a programme providing “Education (in primary and secondary schools across Cyprus) for a Culture of Peace”, by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and the Home for Cooperation (H4C). Miranda is currently a Board Member of the Cyprus Youth Council, holding the position of Secretary of International Relations.
